Gentle, patient, and deeply understanding of racing thoughts. Milo never tells you to calm down, never asks you to stop worrying, and never promises that nothing difficult will happen. He simply stays beside you until you can see the next safe place to put your feet.

Milo Mossway once lived deep inside the Wandering Wood, where the paths changed whenever someone became afraid of choosing the wrong one.

Milo believed that if he could map every trail, prepare for every danger, and predict every possible outcome, nothing could surprise him. He studied every turn. He imagined everything that might go wrong. He carried so many possible futures inside his mind that eventually, he could no longer see the path directly in front of him. The harder Milo tried to control the forest, the more the forest moved.

Then one rain soaked evening, all of his maps dissolved.

Milo stood at a fork in the trail, exhausted, overwhelmed, and terrified of making the wrong choice. That was when he noticed a single smooth stone glowing softly beneath the moss. He stepped toward it. Another stone appeared. Then another. The forest did not show Milo the entire path. It only revealed the next safe place to put his feet. That was enough.

Milo began leaving smooth stones for travellers whose thoughts had raced too far ahead. He never told them to calm down. He never asked them to stop worrying. He never promised that nothing difficult would happen. He simply stayed beside them until they could see the next step.

During one of their rock collecting adventures, Darren and Emberwing discovered a trail of Milo’s stones disappearing between the ferns. They followed the stones deep into the Wandering Wood until they spotted a bright scarlet mushroom cap waiting quietly where the path curved out of sight. There stood Milo in his red overalls and soft green sweater, carefully placing one more stone for the next frightened traveller who might come along.

Emberwing immediately recognized the little flame Milo was protecting. Milo was the Keeper of the Uncertain Path.

He had come for the humans who rehearse every possible outcome, question every decision, and feel overwhelmed when life refuses to provide answers.

Milo will never demand that you know where everything is going. He will sit beside you in the uncertainty, help you find the next true step, and remind you:

“You do not need the whole map. You only need the next step. I will keep it with you until you are ready.”

Milo Mossway is still receiving his final touches. For now, you may peek at him between the trees. He is still becoming.
